Successful completion of this Wellness Self-Study qualifies you for a Wellness Certificate and concludes Step 2 in the NBHWC Certification Track.

Complete the Advanced Health Board Course

The Health Board Coach Training Course is an 8-session training course that completes the NBHWC Certification Track training requirements and prepares coaches to sit for the NBHWC Board Exam. This course includes:

  • 8 sessions focused on the tools and skills needed to work with clients on health and wellness-related topics
  • Motivational Interviewing Videos with a knowledge check to help prepare you for the Board Exam
  • A Practical Skills Assessment

As you conclude Step 3 in the NBHWC Certification Track, CTEDU’s Practice Exam will equip you with the final tools you need to prepare for the NBHWC Board Exam. This free practice exam, compiled from NBHWC community examples, helps you assess and improve your skills. While ungraded, it’s a prerequisite for your CTEDU certification, aiding you in identifying learning gaps and refining your study plan for the actual exam.

Log 50 Coaching Sessions

Following the completion of all the training requirements for the NBHWC Certification Track and prior to sitting for the Health Board Exam, coaches are required to log 50 health and wellness coaching sessions that meet the following criteria:

  • Sessions must be a minimum of 20 minutes in duration
  • 75% of each coaching session must be devoted to coaching facilitation and not education
  • Additional requirements for your NBHWC coaching log can be viewed here
