Leadership Highlight: Britt Fulmer

August 27, 2021 by Ashley Scott

Meet Britt! Britt is the Director of Curriculum and Content with Coach Training EDU, and she’s been with us for 6 months. She spends most of her time updating our curriculum with the latest positive psychology research and developing/editing word copy across CTEDU’s programming. In addition, she serves as a Coach Trainer, helping new coaches discover their passion for helping others.

Outside of CTEDU, Britt is an experienced writing coach with an ACC through the ICF. Her passion for writing inspired her to start her own coaching practice aimed at helping young writers and aspiring authors find their voice and share their stories with the world. With a Master’s Degree in Education and years of experience working in positive psychology, Britt thrives on finding creative ways to blend the two in her coaching practice.

What is your core motivation style?

My core motivation is four: the artist.

How does this impact your work?

I think this makes me more empathetic to others. Knowing that I desire to be understood motivates me to understand others, and to help them feel understood. I like to tap into this empathetic side of me to offer observations that help clients discover deeper insights about themselves.

What is your favorite part of being a life coach?

As a writing coach, I get to watch people discover their voice and turn their words into something lasting and meaningful. The moment a writer has a breakthrough in their novel or story is one of the most powerful things I’ve ever experienced.

What interests do you have outside of work?

Outside of work, I love to spend time writing and reading. I also love to travel with my husband and spend time playing with my kitties and bearded dragon.
