Ashley Watkins

My name is Ashley Watkins, M.A.T, and I am a certified Academic Life Coach and former high school journalism and English teacher. When I started teaching 20 years ago, I believed that content (reading, writing, grammar, etc.) should be the number one priority in my classroom. As the years went on, I realized that I had an even greater passion for helping students master the success skills they would need for high school and beyond. My search for how to go deeper with students both in and out of the classroom led me to coaching – specifically Coach Training EDU. I finished the Associate Level Academic Coach Training program in February 2021 and it has truly changed my life and how I approach my work with students.
