Sahmura Gonzalez, CTEDU Certified Coach, works to spread the awareness that wellness is not a passive or static state, and it’s not a score, checkmark, or ending. Rather, wellness is a fluid, ever-changing process.

She has over nine years of experience in the fitness, health, and wellness industry. Sahmura has trained and coached over 15,000 sessions and worked with hundreds of clients with a wide variety of backgrounds and goals.

Sahmura is a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBCHWC) and a Certified Personal Trainer in NYC. She holds a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College, and completed her IHCPT at the Department of Integrative Medicine at Duke University.

Her business, SG Fitness & Integrative Health Coaching, is fully committed to meeting people where they are at and ensuring they feel empowered and capable of reaching and sustaining their desired changes.

“But just saying Hello to every single person you see or if you’re on social media, really connecting with the people that are on your page.

Just connecting with everyone who is around you. And they may not be your clients, but they’re going to be people who are watching you and how you interact and how you approach the world and your clients and how you’re being that was really, you know, if I’m just talking about the gym and this can translate to anything else, but they would watch how I deal with clients or if I would interact and play with them.

And plays a huge, I think a really big part of anything but my playfulness and playing off of other people while we’re having conversations.

And if their trainer left, they would work with me. And if something doesn’t work out in whatever industry they’re in, they’ll have you in the back of their mind.”
