Kathleen Shea Smith,

Kathleen Shea Smith, PhD, ACC, has spent over three decades in higher education serving students and leading teams of student support professionals. She discovered the field of life coaching in 2002 and immediately envisioned a world where the power of coaching could transcend traditional academic advising and transform the student experience. Through nationally recognized coaching programs at both Florida State University and the University of Oklahoma, Kathleen has worked tirelessly to turn that vision into reality. Her commitment to advancing academic life coaching has established her as a national leader through both NACADA and the Coaching in Higher Education Consortium (CHEC), an association she helped co-create and has served as President of since 2021.

Today, Kathleen brings this passion and experience to Coach Training EDU as a trainer, where she loves supporting emerging coaches to discover their strengths, deepen their coaching presence, and develop the confidence to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Outside of coaching, Kathleen is embracing a new chapter filled with travel, meaningful connections, new adventures, and plenty of opportunities to remain a student of her own life.

You can connect with Kathleen here or schedule a time with them via their calendar here (coming soon).
