What to Expect in the ICF Accredited Belonging & Equity Coach Training Course
The class will meet once a week for two hours at your designated class time. Each class is broken into three main parts to help you meet the belonging & equity life coaching certification requirements:
Discussion
The first third of class includes an open discussion on the chapter you read to prepare for the session’s top. Your trainer will answer questions your cohort may have and provide additional insights based on practice and experience.
Demonstration
Your trainer will demonstrate how to use the tool or skill being discussed with a volunteer client from class.
Practice
The last portion of the class is reserved for practice time, and you will be broken into pairs to practice the coaching tool or skill with a classmate. This section concludes with a reflection.

The Belonging & Equity Coach Certification Requirements
Coach-Client Overviews
Coaches are required to submit three coaching recordings to their Coach Mentor for feedback and review. You must earn a score of “meets standards” or higher on one of the overviews to complete the course. You can find an Overview Guide and a Coach Overview Rubric in the Coach Portal.
Course Attendance
Coaches must attend 11 of the 12 scheduled training sessions (which does not include the Orientation session). Guidelines for attendance are outlined in the course syllabus.
