Since 1993, I have practiced Chinese Medicine/Acupuncture with a specialty in working with emotional challenges. My practice has evolved over the years always with an awareness of the emotional relationship to physical issues. In 2019, I became certified from the Center for Mind Body Medicine and began facilitating groups in Mind-Body practices. This was timely in that I could facilitate groups online during the pandemic. In 2020 I became a supervisor for CMBM. This segued into joining the faculty with Subtle Winds Psilocybin Facilitation Program to teach somatic skills to people seeking certification in Oregon. After completing CTEdu's 2.0, I have incorporated decades of knowledge and experience with Life Coaching to create what I call Somatic Synthesis. Coaching has become my passion.
As an educator, practitioner, and community member, I have provided disaster relief support following devastating events in the US and México to help people navigate stress and symptoms of trauma.
Outside of work, I enjoy time with my dog Rafa, dancing to Cuban rhythms, and being in the beauty of Oregon. Since 2008, I have spent two months each year in Oaxaca, MX offering my skills through service projects and learning traditional healing. I get rejuvenated by being in this community and deepening connections in Spanish.
