My Journey to becoming a life coach. What’s next after you’ve become unbroken? My decision to become a life coach is rooted in a promise I made to myself—to be genuine, transparent, and honest about the trials I’ve faced on my personal journey toward continued happiness, healthy relationships, and self-empowerment. Born timid Mouse: Growing up surrounded by toxicity and chaos, I became familiar with mental and psychological abuse within my relationships. In this environment, I absorbed feelings of worthlessness, rejection, and a diminished sense of self. These beliefs followed me into my 40s, where I struggled with a pervasive sense of inadequacy and insignificance, often feeling like an unnoticed and insignificant presence in the world. At the age of 44, after enduring a difficult marriage, I confronted the harsh reality that I was experiencing depression and made a pivotal decision — without significant changes, my life is at stake. Seeking help from a life coach, delving into self-help literature, and adopting new tools to alter my automatic thoughts set me on a transformative path. Reborn a Fierce Lion! Through this profound journey, I discovered my inherent self-worth, self-respect, and, most importantly, self-love. Unbeknownst to me, a reservoir of strength lay within, waiting to be tapped. I began to embrace the words others had spoken to me throughout my life—I am worthy of kindness, love, and respect. My transformation from feeling worthless to feeling empowered showcases that anyone can undergo profound change. It requires hard work, candid conversations, vulnerability, and the resolve to make tough choices to attain what you deserve. It’s a journey that demands dedication, open-mindedness, and the willingness to confront challenges head-on.
