When you wake up in the morning, do you think of the new day as a miracle? What about having a roof over your head? Or water coming out of your faucet? These everyday little miracles are easy to look over, but taking a moment to feel grateful for their existence can have profound effects. Gratitude has been linked to reduced symptoms of anxiety and depression and better mental and physical health outcomes. This effect is magnified when people make regular time to feel grateful, especially for the little things.
