I was a first generation college student who struggled to identify a career path before finding my calling in Student Affairs/Services in higher education. I earned a bachelor degree in English with a minor in Psychology from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. After a gap year, I entered a graduate program in College Student Development at Bowling Green State University (Ohio). I graduated with a master degree and have worked in Student Affairs/Services in higher education for 25+ years in academic/career counseling, student equity and success, new student orientation, student government, leadership development, and student services management. I have taught career & life planning, student success for first year and other students, and education planning.
I am an ICF-certified coach (ACC). I earned a Graduate Certificate in Evidence-Based Coaching from Fielding Graduate University and a Professional Coaching Certificate from CTEDU. I am currently completing a Graduate Certificate in Positive Psychology at University of Missouri - Columbia.
