Rafi was born in Havana, Cuba and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y. He has been living in Miami Beach, FL for almost 40 years. His greatest pleasure in life is spending quality time with his close-knit family and especially with his 2 adult children ages 25 & 19. Rafi is very vocal about his intense level of gratitude to have been raised by amazing loving parents. Rafi reports that there are many benefits of being raised by an empowered mom and a very ethical, hard-working dad who always taught and commanded respect and equality for all. He is certain that his parents are the very foundation of who he is as a person and a professional.
His academic achievements include a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and a Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology. Dr. Rafi dedicated 20+ years of working with couples, families, and issues regarding the empowerment and advancement of women via psychotherapy. His most recent accomplishment is the earning of a Certificate of Training as an Associate Wellness Life Coach from Coach Training EDU. He is an immensely proud alumnus and reports that he owes a debt of gratitude to CTEDU for being instrumental in his transition to the coaching profession. As a coach, Rafi continues to dedicate his energy towards the advancement and empowerment of women worldwide.
He is fully bi-lingual in English and Spanish. Along with the help of the internet, he can provide his coaching services without borders. His training, experience, and passion have paved the way for him to transition to relationship/dating coaching. He enjoys writing and offers a free monthly newsletter appropriately named Women Empowered (WE) Newsletter. Apart from coaching and family, Rafi enjoys going to the beach, entertaining friends, loves dancing to 80’s hits and is an avid reader.
“I never even realized why I’m so passionate about [women’s empowerment]. I was raised by both of my parents, but my mom is a very strong figure and doesn’t take any nonsense from anyone. That’s how I raised my daughter, to be the same way. And I think there's a big need for that…I think discrimination at any level is something that should never exist. And I like lending my voice to that.”
