The Definition of Optimum Wellness

May 03, 2018 by John Andrew Williams

The world health organization defines optimum wellness as “a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.” Complete comes from the Latin word cum, meaning with, and plere, meaning filled. It’s well-being with the glass totally, not just half, full. Imagine if well-being were three glasses: physical, mental, and social.
