Certification Coach Client Overview

Coach Client Overviews
Learn more about Coach Training EDU’s coach-client overview process and what you can do to prepare.

Below are some tips and logistics to get the most out of your coach client overviews.

Coach Client Overviews and the Benefits of Mentor Coaching

Coach Client Overviews are required to ean a letter of completion from Coach Training EDU.  You will need to complete 3 coach client overviews as part of your 1.0 or 2.0 coach training program.

It’s best to schedule at least one overview before your coach training program concludes. There is no time limit to submitting the recordings, but our recommendation is to attempt to finish them within 3 months after your training ends.

You will need to explore the mentor coaching and coaching skills criteria pages before your overview. We will use the criteria found on those pages to score your coaching session.

Your actual coach-client session will probably last about 50 minutes, and the life coach session overview will last about 50 to 60 minutes. We’ll have a chance to listen to most but not all of your coaching call.

During the life coach session overview, you and your trainer will listen together to your recording via the phone.

You can either play the recording on your side and put your phone on speakerphone (preferred) or you can send the audio file to your trainer to play. Either way works, just as long as the audio is reasonably clear.

Cafe music or noises in the background are usually fine. The main concern is getting a recording that has loud enough volume so that you can hear both voices well.

You’ll need to complete three of them to obtain a letter of completion and to enroll in a group mentor coaching program. However, please, please don’t send your trainer all three audio recordings at once. You’ll want to incorporate the feedback you get from the life coach session overview into your next life coaching session.

Recordings that are made three in a row will not be accepted for three individual mentor coaching sessions. If you do want to review multiple calls during one mentoring session you can. However, that mentoring session will only count as 1 out of the 10 that you need to be certified.
