Every day we write a running narrative in our minds, encompassing things like how we feel, our thoughts on breakfast, and our plan for approaching the day. But it’s not the content of the story as much as the perspective through which we view the story that guides our behaviors and emotions. A negative or irritable perspective can send the narrative down a dark path, while a more positive perspective can turn the story into something inspirational and uplifting. How we write our internal narratives matters, not only to our day-to-day, but to our overall well-being.
