So often going after your dreams is tough because the usual social motivation (people expecting, pushing, cajoling, or demanding) doesn’t happen. The pressure to get a “regular job” and pay the bills is intense. Old people make it a point to ask young people “What do you want to do when you grow up?” Young people ask other young people the same question, doubling down on the social pressure to conform to a regular path.
