For new coaches, learning to sit with discomfort can be a challenge. We see this discomfort arise during silence in a coaching session, within ourselves when we try new things, and while we feel emotions that aren’t positive in nature. While discomfort can be scary, it’s important to remember that it is not dangerous. Sitting with discomfort requires confidence, patience, and a willingness to let emotions pass without judgement or action. As you move your way through this upcoming week, notice the moments in which you feel your body rejecting discomfort, and lean into it. Once you recognize it as uncomfortable, and not life-threatening or ‘bad’, will you then begin to move through it.
Where in your life are you learning to sit with discomfort?
