I have always believed in the power of journaling but never truly gave it a try until more recently. I just had something on my mind that wouldn’t work itself out with the dialog in my head. So, I wrote it down, and I kept writing until it felt like I’d emptied my emotions and thoughts on the subject onto the page. There was something about my free-flowing consciousness bleeding across the page that gave me a fresh perspective and allowed me to examine the issue from a completely different angle. It was more freeing than I expected and gave me an opportunity to develop tangible solutions to help me moving forward.
