Coaching Through Uncertainty

Coaching during this pandemic can be somewhat of a learning curve. Over the past few weeks, you may have noticed clients having difficulty focusing on the future in the face of uncertainty. Your client, and prospectively the entire world is currently faced with uncertainty in their jobs, their health, and the health of their loved ones.

In these moments, it’s important to practice empathetic listening, and focus on simply creating a safe space for the time being. You may be the only certain factor in your clients life at the moment. Agendas and goals in these times may be on a smaller scale, and that’s okay.

Growth-mindset is even more essential in these coaching sessions. Aim to adapt, understand, and grow.
