“The unexamined life is not worth living.” - Socrates
It’s relatively easy to live life. Barring traumatic events, most people do simply go with the flow of life; go to school, get a job, start a family, etc. Before I entered into the world of coaching, that was very much me. I had a good life, I was doing well, and I was floating along toward the next big milestone. It wasn’t until I started my coaching journey that I really started to analyze the difference between living my life and living a thriving life. I quickly realized that I wanted to live a passion-filled life; I wanted to feel like a fire was lit beneath me at all times. And while I was happy and content, I wasn’t living that passion-filled life. At least not when it came to my career aspirations. Examining my life through the lens of coaching forced me to take a hard look in the mirror and make some drastic decisions, namely to start writing again. This examination helped lead me back to my passions and allowed me to follow my lifelong dream.
What aspect of your life could benefit from more examination?
